Cybathlon Experience event
A Cybathlon Experience event is integrated in the Biorob program. Several activities are being organized as part of this Cybathlon experience.
During the Monday and Tuesday afternoon coffee breaks and the hardware demo session there will be several hardware demonstrations in the hardware demo area on floor 2.
- Two exoskeleton teams (Project Marchand Symbitron Plus) will demonstrate their exoskeletons. They will show how their pilots who suffered spinal cord injuries will use the exoskeleton to cross several of the obstacles that are part of Cybathlon powered exoskeleton race track.
- The runner-up Brain Computer Interface team of Cybathlon 2016 (Brain Gain) will demonstrate how a person can use their brain signals to control a computer game
- Using a simple EEG set-up, you can experience yourself how well you can use your brains signals to control movements of an avatar in a computer game.
On Wednesday from 14.30 to 16.00, there will be a special Cybathlon session as part of the regular conference program. This session will be co-organized by the Cost Action on Wearable robotics.
The program will consist of
14:30 General introduction
14:35 Robert Riener and Lukas Jäger – Introduction Cybathlon (goals, events)
14:45 Demonstration Cybathlon exoskeleton teams, Project March and Symbitron+
15:00 Interview and interactive Q&A with exoskeleton pilots
